A remarkable evening honoring the career and legacy of a distinguished retiree. Set in the heart of Washington, D.C., the celebration seamlessly blended the elegance and whimsical charm of the Kimpton Hotel with personalized touches throughout the event. As one of the largest African American cultural celebrations in Montgomery County, Maryland, the community festival at Cabin John Village welcomed over 1,000 attendees in a powerful gathering honoring heritage, resilience, and community unity. In partnership with the Scotland Juneteenth Foundation, we provided talent acquisition, full event production, and exhibitor fair management, ensuring a seamless and impactful experience. A key focus of the festival was promoting health and wellness within the Black community. We collaborated with over 20 organizations across the region to share vital information and resources on building a healthier Black community and fostering personal well-being. Through music, education, and cultural exhibitions, this event served as a dynamic platform for engagement, empowerment, and celebration.
